Coffee Netherlands
Coffee Netherlands
Holland and Amsterdam .. any information will be greatly appreciated?
Im going to Amsterdam in June and am curious about some of the red things.like .. is that like a walk, more than one? I also go to a zoo where there is a zoo? any other suggestions? I'm pretty informed about all 'coffee shops', but I want to know anything anyone has been there before I can say. all information is appreciated .. thanks! muah!
AMS is a medieval city built in no time was any form of motorized transport. Thus, the center – at least the part that is of interest to you is very small, it is passable. The red zone is the oldest part of town, about ten streets with lots of small alleys. So it's not like a walk, it's like an old medieval city, with a large number of channels used to supply the city with food. Almost every row of houses has a channel in front of it – at least in the downtown, only four downtown streets have no water to make more room for traffic. Zoo: The zoo is called Artis (www.artis.nl). I can not understand why travel across the world to visit a zoo, but if you want, is about ten minutes by tram from Central Station is actually in the old city – They built a special island in the old port to make room for the train station in downtown. coffee: do not go if you're still a child. Most of the Netherlands will not understand why all the tourists who want to visit coffee shops. We tried it once, and most say they do not want to do it again. However, if you really want to go, just visit one, go to the counter and tell them you are new at this and inexperienced. If you are not too crowded, they will be happy to tell you everything you need to know about it. Afternoon visit, you will have time for. One of the nicest things about the red zone is that prostitution is legal. This makes no sense that crime is if you visit comparable districts in other large cities. Prostitutes can be clearly seen sitting behind windows. Outside it is very crowded especially curious tourists. While on the street, nobody will think that is a prostitute or a client. Go visit a normal pub / Bar. They are not as sleazy as I have seen in small U.S. cities. Moms and dads visit, visiting prostitutes and even take a break. They are willing to talk with anyone who did not have the attitude that the indictees are doing something wrong. Go talk to them, and maybe you'll understand why (be) do this work, and see that it is not glamorous at all. Especially the older ones have more time to talk to people in bars. Do not treat them as a tourist attraction itself. No flash your Rolex or its 1000 dollar bills. Because the crowd is not really dangerous, but not to tempt the villains. After all, you need not really there, right? Beware of pickpockets though, that are in the crowd as in any large city in the world (San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Cairo, City of Mexico …) use your wallet in the front pocket of his jeans, so it feels like, or keeping the money under your clothes. If I had to travel across the world, I would try to smell a bit of culture from there: see the famous 16th century paintings by Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum (ask your hotel by tram), in the same square is Van Gogh Museum, with all the famous paintings of Van Gogh (with the exception of three, including the most famous in Paris). Waiting for a morning or afternoon of each these museums. Like all the great museums of the world that are too large, you get tired before you have seen everything, so first visit the famous paintings, and if you want to see more information, visit the article. If you are interested, visit the Anne Frank House (it's just a house, so expect to spend a few hours). Transportation: if you can: rent a bicycle. Everyone uses a bicycle in the city. Easy and fast. You can reach everything in ten minutes. If you can not use a car, the trams are also a quick way to transport and run very often (every five minutes, except at night) Do not use a car, you can not stop anywhere. Finally: have fun. The nicest thing to visit other countries is to have a chat with local people. Visit a bar, most people really like if you start a conversation. Do not be shy, after several attempts you experience that is very good to have a chat. The good is that everyone in the Netherlands speaks English
