How many milligrams of caffeine a person needs to ingest an overdose?
I've been addicted to caffeine several years ago, and since my body has built a tolerance to coffee, mints, caffeine, and energy drinks, I recently started taking caffeine pills, once every 3-4 hours. Each tablet has about 200 mg of caffeine, and took about 4 or 5 of those a day, plus several cafes and, occasionally, an energy drink here or there. I wonder if I'm anywhere near an overdose. I've heard some sources say 300 mg or more is an overdose, while others say it is much less (170-200mg) or more (750 mg +) than that. Just wondering if anyone knows the effective dose so you can try to control my caffeine consumption and not overdose. Thank you.
if you mean by overdose of a lethal dose, I wouldnt worry about it. As for your situation, you have a problem and must be raised outside of the tablets at least.
